Whistle Soda got its start with the Vess Beverage Company in St. Louis in 1925. I gather that most of their sodas were branded as Vess, but the orange soda was Whistle for at least a time. Vess is still going strong after more than a century, mainly in the St. Louis area. You can learn a bit more about Whistle Soda and its elves here.
