A perfectly ordinary hexagonal coffee table. And then… voila! The turntable and controls for your stereo and player for your long playing records. A remarkable Motorola product from way back when. And the owner even kept the manual for the MCM Drexel cabinet.
From Motorola’s 1962 Annual Report: “The series includes such features as a room divider with a built-in record changer and radio, a serving cart equipped with a television set, and a hexagonal coffee table housing a stereo hi-fi phonograph and FM/AM radio combination. They were styled by Motorola’s design department in conjunction with the Drexel and Heritage furniture companies.”
