Some of you probably know that the island of Santa Catalina was pretty much owned by the Wrigleys of gum fame. Apart from training his Chicago Cubs on the island, another of William Wrigley‘s ventures was the Catalina Clay Company. It became a success and ‘Catalina Tile’ became a thing.
I love this piece with the Casino at Avalon and the plane (possibly a Grumman Goose).
