OK, that’s an awfully specific description of what Jesus is up to. This must be ‘a thing’, as they say. And it is!

Not sure how we get from that to a kerosene lamp commemorating it, but one chain in the link is a painting by pre-Raphaelite William Holman Hunt. Hunt’s second larger version of The Light of the World went on a world tour before winding up in St. Paul’s in London. It would make sense for the image on the lamp to be this painting, but it isn’t — it’s a cheap Chinese knock-off it seems.
