Cartier Cowboy Duck

OK, OK, so it came from the auction house and not an estate sale. This COVID-19 thing has us all doing things differently than we used to.

A six-gun toting waterfowl, made by Cartier in Paris for only the most exclusive of customers. It’s up for auction at Freeman’s if you have a few grand lying around doing nothing.

A gem-set, agate, and eighteen karat gold clip brooch, Cartier

France, circa 1950

Designed as a carved agate cowboy duck with polished gold beak, circular-cut sapphire eye and coral feet, wearing a gold hat, cravat and holster containing a coral revolver.
