Model kit for the M65 280mm ‘Atomic Annie’. Sure you can drop atomic bombs out of planes, but wouldn’t it be cooler to load it into an artillery piece and fire it upon your enemies? The US Army sure thought so, and they developed the M65, which was testfired in Nevada in 1953. The weapon “was effectively obsolete soon after it was deployed” but at least we built 20 useless weapons.
