Because of Jesus, when January 1st falls on a Sunday, the Rose Bowl and the Parade are on Monday. Such is the case this year, and also in 1950. Back then, Ohio State defeated Cal 17-14. The stadium had just been expanded and this was the first to host 100,000 spectators.
